Client: Swedish Transport Administration
Main contractor: JVS, a Danish-German consortium
Main works: Priming and waterproofing
Project dates: 2011–2014
The project in brief
Priming and waterproofing of bridge segment.
Project and solution
The bridge’s steel parts were manufactured in Germany, and then assembled into larger bridge spans in Poland. The spans were then shipped to Sundsvall by barge. This is where DAB’s work began, priming and waterproofing the bridge segment.
- The segment was primed with Beta A Primer.
• A Beta SBM (Steel Bridge Membrane) sheet was fitted
• Combined protective and binder course with PGJA, and other coating also performed on site
